Year of the Bobcat morphed into its current form after singer and songwriter Denton Hird decided fill out his solo work by adding a full band. Denton and drummer Blaine Wright formerly played together in the Danville based The Fall Of Icarus, later adding Justin Bares on Keys, and Michael Hicks formerly of JigGsaw on bass. YOTB is a mix of rock, folk and pop music that dwells on raw simplicity.
